A PLACE OF NEW BEGINNINGS

Serving the youth of Santa Cruz and Monterey County

Youth N.O.W. is an after school student center that provides no-cost tutoring and academic support, as well as, a safe social environment for middle and high school youth in the downtown Watsonville area. We have been dedicated to the personal and academic success of all youth since 2010.

  • At Youth N.O.W. we believe in the infinite potential of our youth.
  • We are a safe place for the youth of our community, with caring adults and mentors.
  • A place that focuses on individualized success, and positive self-image.
  • Youth N.O.W. offers students an opportunity to find a new path, and is a place of Love, Structure, and Acceptance!

WHAT WE DO

Youth N.O.W. is comprised of two separate program sites, one for high school students located on Carr Street and one for middle school students located on Madison Street. Each site has both a learning center space and a recreational social space. Our learning centers offer individualized contracted tutoring, homework help, independent study, school project resources, computer labs, and printing services. Youth N.O.W.’s social and recreational spaces are comprised of our high school ‘coffee house’ and the middle school gym. These sites serve as spaces for activities such as enrichment classes, clubs, sports clinics and evening social events. During the summer, Youth N.O.W. also offers a five-week full day program for middle school youth and half day programming for high school youth. No-cost food is offered at both sites thanks to our community partners.
